see before Elijah was born I told everyone I was going to be a fanatic about washing hands before touching the baby and not taking him out into public... Everyone laughed and said I was crazy and that if I didn't expose him to things he'd end up with allergies, etc...
So after 5 weeks of being at home with him I got cabin fever and we all go to Matt's thanksgiving dinner at the Hotel... and I should have known better..
we ALL ended up getting colds from that one trip out. Matt's boss Pennie has some kind of cold and I think, even though she "looked at elijah from a distance" her distance wasn't QUITE far enough away.
It started with a nasty sore throat and has pretty much migrated into a full on sinus/head cold. Lovely.
As if the baby didn't keep me awake enough as it was, imagine him being sick. So we've been camping out at Matt's parents house since Sunday *trying* get better but so far little improvement. The sore throat is gone, but that's about it.
Anyway, so that's what is going on with us here.
Oh, and Grandpa Roger and Uncle Fred thought Elijah needed a heater in the bathroom so he didn't get too cold when he got his bath... so what started out as a 2 hour project, now 4 days later is still ongoing. :) I should have known it wasn't going to be simple. Nothing is EVER simple when they say it's going to be. I wonder if it's just an excuse for them to go to every home improvement store in the area. Twice. :)
Ok, I suppose I should head to bed since Matt is currently trying to soothe Elijah to sleep and I know they're both tired so I should give them a break...
